Nate Johnson

Nate Johnson joined the KLKN team as Sports Director in July 2024.

He grew up in Beloit, Wisconsin, but originally hails from Milwaukee.

Nate loves all sports, being a former college athlete himself. You can regularly find him at the golf course or local basketball courts.

Nate graduated from Beloit College, majoring in media studies and minoring in journalism.

He started his career as a Sports Anchor/Reporter for the CBS affiliate WYMT in Hazard, Kentucky. From reporting on University of Kentucky football and basketball to covering high school sports in eastern Kentucky, he was a member of the WYMT sports department for two years.

His tenure there was highlighted by the selection of him, along with two fellow anchors, as the winner of a 2023 Impact Broadcast Award in the Sports Special category.

Nate is excited to be in Lincoln and can’t wait to see what the sports scene is like in Nebraska!
