LPD: Teen threatened with box cutter by neighbor

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — After reportedly yelling outside a Lincoln apartment complex, man began threatening a 16-year-old tenant with a box cutter.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday on the 3200 block of S. 14th Street.

Two nearby apartment tenants, a 62-year-old female and a 16-year-old male, head a man yelling outside.

When they went to see what was going on, they saw their neighbor, identified as 48-year-old Cory Courage, clutching a box cutter.

Courage allegedly threatened to cut them both, before walking towards the teen.

When police arrived on scene, Courage was inside his apartment and would not come out when prompted.

Lincoln Police say after a long negotiation, they were able to have him come out peacefully.

Courage was arrest on two counts of terroristic threats.
