Affidavit: Lincoln man arrested after attacking woman with aluminum bat

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Monday after assaulting a woman with an aluminum bat in west Lincoln, court documents say.
Lloyd Scott, 57, was charged on suspicion of five felonies, including second-degree assault, terroristic weapons and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
According to an arrest affidavit, Scott assaulted a woman with an aluminum bat and threatened to shoot and kill her with a gun at a home in west Lincoln.
Scott dragged the woman into the home’s basement, where she pleaded for her life for about “an hour,” the affidavit alleges.
The woman escaped when Scott fell asleep on the couch, and she ran across the street to the neighbor’s house to call the police.
The affidavit says the woman was taken to a hospital with a broken nose and left knee.
After the victim received medical attention, officers took Scott into custody.
During a search of the home, officers found a handgun and a “bloody” aluminum bat, according to the affidavit.
A Lancaster County judge set Scott’s bond at $1,500,000, meaning he must pay $150,000 to be released from jail.
