Puppies rescued from shelter in Oklahoma now available for adoption

At the beginning of March nearly three dozen puppies were brought to Lincoln from a high kill shelter in Oklahoma.
After getting their shots, being spayed and neutered, and getting a little older they’re finally ready for adoption.
Dolly’s Legacy Animal Rescue has been taking care of the nearly four dozen dogs since bringing them to Lincoln.
Saturday morning the rescue had about a dozen of the pups at Kenl Inn near 98th and Old Cheney so people could adopt.
Dolly’s still have dozens of dogs waiting to be adopted and they’re asking for supplies to be donated to help care for all the pups.
“Right now we have close to 80 in our rescue so we have a lot of animals to take care of. We go through a lot of paper towels, paper towels, Clorox wipes,” Kerri Kelly, the founder and director of Dolly’s Legacy Animal Rescue said.
If you would like to donate supplies there’s a drop off bin at Vintage Heights Vet Clinic near 84th and Old Cheney. The organization also accepts monetary donations to cover all vet bills for the dogs.
Several of the pups were adopted on Saturday, but there are still plenty looking for good homes.
