North Platte Police Department asks for public’s help finding person of interest

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KLKN) — North Platte Police Department announced they are needing the public’s help in locating Julius Reed 2nd. He is being located in connection with an assault and shooting investigation that occurred early Aug. 5.
Around 2 a.m. on Aug. 5, officers responded to a call reporting gunfire. During investigation of the incident, officers identified Reed as a person of interest involved in the assault and shooting.
Allegedly, Reed assaulted a resident in the area before gunfire was exchanged in the street.
According to NPPD, Reed is wanted for questions for criminal offenses including attempted first-degree assault, use of a firearm to commit a felony, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and third-degree assault.
