Man hospitalized after being hit by falling tree

Authorities on scene told Channel 8 Eyewitness News a man was collecting firewood when a tree he was cutting fell on him. 

LINCONL, Neb. (KLKN) – One person was taken to the hospital after a work accident north of Lincoln.

Emergency crews responded to the area of NW 70th and W Mill Rd. just before noon Monday.

Authorities on scene told Channel 8 Eyewitness News a man was collecting firewood when a tree he was cutting fell on him.

The man was taken to Bryan West to be treated for head and leg injuries.

Authorities say the man’s injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
