Another well above average Tuesday afternoon! Highs today reaching the 50s and 60s, with LIGHT winds and mostly sunny skies. Really, a beautiful December day before dense fog and chillier air through Christmas afternoon.

Temperatures this week will stay mild, ranging from 53–62°, with partly/mostly sunny skies. DENSE FOG through Christmas Day will keep Temperatures cooler. Friday will be a perfect day to use any new Christmas gifts, with temperatures in the 60s and lots of sunshine with light winds.

Dense fog will develop overnight Tuesday and become thicker on Christmas Eve morning and Christmas Day. The fog will linger through the afternoon for much eastern Nebraska, including Lincoln.

Christmas morning, much of the eastern half of the state will be seeing visibilities less than a half mile. The fog will hang around through Thursday afternoon.
