High-dollar thefts make for busy day of crime in Lincoln

Two big crimes happened on March 19, and LPD wants your help tracking down the suspects.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – In a 24-hour period on March 19, Lincoln experienced not one, but two high-dollar crimes. Both of them have extensive video evidence that the Lincoln Police Department is sharing in hopes of identifying the suspects.

Starting at SJ’s Smoke Shop near 31st and O Streets, we have yet another vape shop burglary. Much like the others, the suspects are seen smashing through the glass at the front of the shop before they load up their backpacks. In this early morning incident, they were able to take $5000 dollars worth of merchandise in addition to causing around $5000 dollars worth of damage.

Fast forward to the evening, and we see another big theft. This time, a pair of suspects stopped by the Target near South 40th and Yankee Hill. They waited in a back room until the store closed, and then they shopped around for more than $25,000 worth of electronics.

LPD is asking the public for help identifying the suspects, and Crime Stoppers has these cases (and plenty more) for you to review.
