A chilly and windy Friday the 13th ahead

Following an active Thursday, much of Friday looks to stay dry with mostly cloudy skies. Small chances for lingering showers are possible in the afternoon across north and SE Nebraska. Temperatures stay on the cooler side heading into the weekend.

Friday overall will be quite breezy. Many will see wind speeds ranging from 20-30 mph, with gusts anywhere from 40-60 mph. You might want to bring in or tie down any outdoor decorations or future for this evening.

A High Wind Warning is in place for parts of western and central Nebraska, until 7:00pm Friday. Strong winds are likely for the eastern half of the state through Saturday.
