A cool start to December
Happy Friday and December 1st! Today will be chilly with below average highs across Nebraska. We will see more clouds than sun throughout the day, with a wintry mix possible in some far SE counties early morning, then again in the afternoon.
Friday’s highs will fall below normal, with temperatures struggling to reach the mid and upper 30s.
Following the overnight mixed precipitation that occurred in far SE Nebraska early Friday morning, another slight chance for light rain and/or light snow arrives in the afternoon.
Similarly to the morning, the chance for precipitation looks to stay mainly in the far SE for Friday. Better chances for precipitation arrive on Saturday for southeastern areas.
If you have any Friday night plans, temperatures look to drop down into the 20s and eventually the teens. You will want to bundle up throughout Friday.
Saturday brings another round for mixed precipitation for some eastern counties. There is a chance for light snow starting in the afternoon until the early evening in SE Nebraska, that will then transition to light rain in the evening.
Saturday overall will bring a lot of cloud cover across the state, before we see the sun again on Sunday.
