A spotty morning shower possible on Thursday
While southeast Nebraska remains mostly dry on Wednesday evening, the same can’t be said for northern Nebraska. On Wednesday evening, we expect storms to develop along a stationary front in central Nebraska. Most of this activity will be confined to areas north of I-80 during the evening hours, leaving Lincoln dry.
That front will pivot overnight Wednesday in a way that sends some spotty showers towards Lincoln. We cannot rule out a few of those on Thursday morning in southeast Nebraska. These showers will be very hit-or-miss and aren’t likely to produce much rain. That is if they can even hit your location at all!
Most indications point toward a dry Thursday afternoon. We’re forecasting a mix of sun and clouds, although the latter portion of the afternoon may be more on the sunny side. Highs should be in the upper-80s and lower-90s.
We’re including an isolated rain chance on Friday too, but again, any showers will be very hit-or-miss. Storm chances are slightly higher heading into the weekend, although there should be many dry hours on Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully, we can pick up some rain over the weekend!
