AC unit vandalism at Lincoln company damaged $100,000 in poultry vaccines

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are looking for the vandal who fiddled with an air conditioner at a pharmaceutical company in Lincoln.

Around 11 a.m. Wednesday, officers were sent to Huvepharma near Westgate Boulevard and Industrial Lake Drive on a report of vandalism.

An employee told officers that somebody tampered with the company’s exterior air conditioner unit, which caused the temperature to rise.

Police said the temperature increase rendered about $100,000 of poultry vaccines unusable.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
