LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man says he accidentally fired a gun into his apartment’s ceiling on Monday, and the bullet didn’t stop until it hit his neighbors’ ceiling.

This happened near Pine Lake Road and South 38th Street, a little after 6:30 a.m.

Police say a round from Nathan Walter’s Glock went through the floor of his upstairs neighbors, and it had to be removed from their hallway ceiling.

No one was hurt by the gunfire.  The 29-year-old was cited and released for discharging a firearm within the city.

Walter’s 9mm handgun and ammo were taken for evidence.
