Affidavit: Lincoln man repeatedly raped woman, abused her kids

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man is behind bars after court documents say he sexually assaulted a woman and abused her kids.

Just after 8:30 a.m. Thursday, 37-year-old Seville Colliers was arrested on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault and two counts of felony child abuse.

On Friday, a judge set his bond at $1 million. That means he would need to pay $100,000 to be released.

In February, a 37-year-old woman reported that Colliers had sexually assaulted her several times, according to an affidavit.

She also reported a substantial history of physical abuse and threats from Colliers.

According to the affidavit, Colliers texted her, “if you don’t do better I’m going to kill us both.”

Colliers also said, “Let me catch you doing anything outside of me you’re dead.”

The victim said the latest sexual assault happened on Feb. 5, when Colliers raped her, the affidavit says.

Colliers also had access to a firearm and threatened the woman with it, court documents say.

The victim’s children also reported suffering physical abuse from Colliers, including being whipped with belts, according to the affidavit.

The children also said they had seen Colliers physically assault the woman in the past.

One child said he feared Colliers would hit them so hard one day, they wouldn’t “wake up,” according to the affidavit.

Another child said she overheard Colliers tell the woman, “If you ever tell anyone what is happening I will make sure all of you die,” the affidavit says.

One child also said she heard her mother crying and telling Seville to stop while he did “grown up things” to her, court documents say.

When Colliers was arrested, a search of his home revealed a firearm in a safe.

He was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail.

His next court appearance is set for June 5.
