LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Tuesday after a break-in at an adult toy store in south Lincoln, court documents say.

At around 1 a.m., an officer responded to a glass break alarm at Romantix near 10th and Arapahoe streets.

According to an arrest affidavit, security cameras showed a man, later identified as 22-year-old Conner Shafer, throw a rock through a window.

Shafer initially grabbed two adult toys — each worth around $90 — before dropping those for another product worth about $450, the affidavit says.

He left the store through the same window he smashed and started walking toward Van Dorn Park.

During a search of the area, officers found the packaging of the stolen item along the Bison Trail.

An officer then spotted Schafer near Eighth Street and Harrison Avenue, according to the affidavit.  He was wearing the same clothes seen in the surveillance video.

Schafer was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Officers recovered the stolen adult toy during a search of the surrounding area, the affidavit says.
