Affidavit: Revolver, drugs and cash seized from central Lincoln apartment
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man was arrested Wednesday, months after a drug bust at his central Lincoln apartment, court documents say.
Tony Rucks, 31, was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of several felony drug charges and operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest.
On March 11, investigators were surveilling Rucks’ apartment near 17th and F streets.
He was suspected of selling cocaine, ecstasy and pills at the apartment, an arrest affidavit says.
Eventually, investigators spotted Rucks leaving in a vehicle. They followed him until he returned to the apartment.
Investigators then approached the vehicle and commanded Rucks to get out, according to the affidavit.
Rucks refused orders, reversing his vehicle and driving onto F Street, the affidavit alleges.
Investigators were unable to find Rucks’ vehicle after it left the area.
Soon after, authorities searched Rucks’ apartment and found ecstasy pills, marijuana, cocaine, digital scales and a bottle of promethazine, according to the affidavit.
A .38-caliber revolver and bullets were also discovered in the bedroom closet, the affidavit says. In total, investigators found $810 in cash.
A Lancaster County judge signed an arrest warrant for Rucks on May 16.
