Affidavit: Woman robs man of his bike at gunpoint outside central Lincoln home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln woman was charged Friday after police say she robbed a man of his bike at gunpoint.

Just after 11:30 a.m. Saturday, officers with the Lincoln Police Department were called to the area of 14th and O streets.

When officers arrived, the victim told police he rode his bike to 34-year-old Morgan Kriz’s home near 18th and M streets.

According to an arrest affidavit, the victim knew Kriz and owed her $300.

While the victim was at Kriz’s house, an argument about the bike ensued, and Kriz ended up pointing a gun at the victim.

Kriz put the gun in the victim’s stomach and told him to walk away, the affidavit says.

“I got one in the chamber,” she told the victim, according to the affidavit.

The victim said Kriz put the bike in the back seat of her car as he walked away from the scene.

According to the police department, Kriz has previous felony convictions, which prohibits her from owning a deadly weapon.

On Thursday, officers were surveilling Kriz’s home when she got into her car and drove off.

Officers said they followed Kriz until she switched lanes without using her blinker.

They pulled the vehicle over, finding a glass pipe with suspected meth residue and more than 19 grams of marijuana inside the vehicle, according to the affidavit.

A search warrant was issued for Kriz’s home, where court documents say officers found nearly 12 grams of a crystallized white substance.

Officers said they also found a handgun and several bullets.

Kriz was booked into the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, robbery, use of a firearm to commit a felony and possession of a controlled substance.

Her bond was set at $100,000, and her next hearing is set for Sept. 3.
