Afternoon/evening clearing anticipated
Friday will be another cloudy start for most. We’ve had to deal with a few passing showers overnight Thursday, and there’s a chance to see a few more of those on Friday morning. Any lingering showers should come to end after lunchtime.
By Friday afternoon, we’ll start to see some clearing to the west. The low clouds may be a bit stubborn near Lincoln at first. However, Lincoln will eventually get a share of the clearing skies by the evening.
High temperatures in your community hinge entirely on when the cloud cover exits. We’ll see sunshine for a longer period of time near the Tri-Cities, so we expect temperatures in the middle and upper-70s near the Tri-Cities. Highs will gradually decrease as you head farther east. Give or take a few degrees depending on when the sun pokes out.
Almost everyone will see mostly clear skies by the time high school football games are kicking off. Temperatures will be just about perfect for football, with 60s in the forecast throughout most games.
Our weekend forecast is looking fairly quiet. We expect mostly sunny skies on Saturday and Sunday, along with comfortable temperatures. We’re forecasting highs in the 80s on Saturday, although highs should back off into the 70s on Sunday.
