‘Aging’ utility pole collapsed, causing power outage in north Lincoln, LES says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An “aging” utility pole collapsed in north Lincoln on Saturday, leaving dozens without power.
In a post on Facebook, the Lincoln Electric System said the pole near 27th and Holdrege streets collapsed just before noon.
The collapse impacted neighboring poles and caused a power outage for about 50 LES customers, the company said.
Officials expect the outage to “extend into the night.” But crews are on the scene working to restore power to the neighborhood.
You can find an updated outage map on LES’s website.
