Airplane part found in Chicago neighborhood
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — An airplane emergency evacuation slide was found in a Chicago neighborhood Monday.
Authorities said a resident in the neighborhood told sources the slide was the size of a car.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating how the United Airlines Boeing 767 slide came off, while in flight.
FAA said workers at Chicago O’Hare International Airport realized the slide was missing after the 767 landed.
United Airlines released a statement stating they are working to figure out how this happened, and how to prevent it from happening again.
