All 6 defendants in Omaha sex trafficking case now in district court

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The cases of all six people caught up in a sex trafficking investigation in Omaha have advanced to district court.
On Wednesday, a judge found probable cause to try two of the defendants: Kavankumar Patel and Vishal Goswami.
Another defendant — Alfredo Zambrano-Hurtado — waived his right to a preliminary hearing, which means a not guilty plea will be entered in district court.
The other three defendants had already been sent to Douglas County District Court.

Police said Zambrano-Hurtado and Eduardo Perdomo trafficked a 15-year-old and 16-year-old girl from Denver to Omaha.
The girls stayed at the AmericInn near 13th Street and Interstate 80, where court documents say they were sold for sex to “numerous” men.
Michel Martinez-Gonzalez communicated with the buyers and got a share of the money, according to an arrest affidavit.
