Amazon Air launches first cargo service in Nebraska
Omaha's Eppley Airfield will host Amazon's air cargo service making deliveries to residence of Nebraska more efficient.

OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) – This morning Amazon Air launched their daily cargo service at Omaha’s Eppley Airfield.
The inaugural flight arrived shortly after 2:40 a.m. this morning.
Silver Airways will operate the daily flights for Amazon Air between Omaha and Fort Worth Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas using an ATR72-500 aircraft.
“We are pleased to welcome Amazon Air to Eppley Airfield with this exciting new cargo service for the Omaha metro area and Nebraska,” said Dave Roth, CEO, Omaha Airport Authority. “Amazon’s new presence at Eppley Airfield will provide enhanced cargo activity at the airport and support deliveries throughout Omaha and the surrounding areas.”
Amazon has created more than 500 jobs with 1,000 indirect jobs supported in addition to the company’s direct hires since 2010.
They have also invested more than $250 million in Nebraska over the past decade, including infrastructure and compensation to employees.
