Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held at state capital building

Governor Ricketts invited the public to participate in the 71st annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.

A few hundred people came out to participate on Sunday afternoon.

Musical choirs from a few Lincoln area schools helped lead the singing of Christmas themed songs.

The governor said a few words, wishing all of Nebraska a happy holiday season.

This year, the tree ornaments are all shaped in the form of the state of Nebraska.
