Another dry, warm and on the side of windy day Thursday

Lincoln topped out at 91° yesterday for the first time since early October of last year. That’s our first 90-degree day of 2024!

After a toasty day on Wednesday, we’ll be slightly cooler on Thursday thanks to another weak cold front that moved through.

Hbh Temp Gust Planner

The wind will also still be noticeable with gusts as high as 35 mph out of the northwest, hence temperatures being shaved off by a few degrees.

Friday will be another mostly quiet, warm and sunny day until the evening hours.

Next 2 Days

Friday afternoon another front will start to drop from northern Nebraska, this time sparking some stronger storms especially through central Nebraska. Some of these storms could be on the strong to severe side, watching Stormcast below for the timing through that event.

The latest update from the Storm Prediction Center has Nebraska in either a Marginal or Slight risk. The higher chances to see severe weather will be in that Slight (Level 2 of 5) risk in central and southwest Nebraska.

Spc Day 2 Friday

The Marginal risk is where we expect a couple storms that may be severe. Meanwhile within a Slight risk, scattered severe storms are possible.

Spc Explainer

Into the weekend, only small evening chances to see much of anything as we’re trending dry and mostly sunny throughout Saturday and Sunday.
