Another hot day for Nebraska – 6/7/2021

Monday morning is starting off on a quiet note. Mostly clear skies for Southeastern Nebraska with low temperatures bottoming out in the mid to upper 60s this morning.

Low Temp

Some storms last night in northeast Colorado were successful in blanketing much of western Nebraska with clouds overnight. These clouds faded as they approached *tried* to approach Lincoln. No rain is expected and skies should remain mostly clear for the rest of the morning. The afternoon looks hot once again with high temperatures sitting in the low 90s once again. Dew points should be in the 60s this afternoon, so I would expect the air to have a muggy feel to it as well.

Mb Today Fcst

Some scattered storms may fire late this evening in far western Nebraska. These showers and storms will try to approach Lincoln and the Tri-Cities overnight but should fizzle out by tomorrow morning. These showers will likely fail in reaching Lincoln, and they may even fail to reach the Tri-Cities. The best rain chances overnight are far west of Lincoln overnight.

Mb Stormcast

The weather pattern is similar for the day on Wednesday. We stay hot through the end of the week before our next storm system arrives late Thursday and into Friday morning. That is our next best rain chance in Lincoln!
