Another air quality alert issued for central and eastern Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Much of Nebraska could see a dip in air quality again in the coming days.
On Wednesday, state agencies issued an air quality alert for central and eastern Nebraska.
The alert is effective from 6 a.m. Thursday through noon Friday.
The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services said smoke from wildfires in Canada could reduce the air quality.
The smoke could reach levels that are unhealthy for sensitive people, according to DHHS.
People with heart or lung disease, older adults and children should avoid intense outdoor activities.
The smoke advisory includes Albion, Beatrice, Fairbury, Hastings, Grand Island, Kearney, Lexington, Lincoln, Omaha, Red Cloud, Seward and York.
Nebraska has been under several air quality alerts in recent days due to the smoke from Canada.
