Another warm one before spot storms possible Wednesday

After reaching the lower 80s in Lincoln yesterday, we’re now up to 12 days in 2025 that were in the 80s or 90s. Only one day so far has been in the 90s.

We’ll keep adding to the “80°+” column this week.

Count 80s And 90s So Far

Tuesday morning will be near normal as temperatures briefly cool to the upper 40s. No weather will impact the morning commute.

Am Commute

High clouds will build in before more clouds increase this evening. A little more of a breeze from the east will accompany the day, gusting up around 20 mph or so.

Lincoln Today Wind Gusts

Temperatures will be above average again with some more spots warming to the 80s (including Lincoln).

Stormcast State Temp

Better chances for rain late tonight into Wednesday will be down toward the Kansas border and out in western Nebraska. Spot storms will be possible though by Wednesday afternoon and evening. Not everyone will see rain.

Beyond Wednesday, we work to warm back to the 80s by the end of the work week and especially for Mother’s Day weekend.

4 Day Temps

The extended period through next week also looks fairly dry, with some signals for more rain past the middle of the month.
