Arrest made in child enticement case

A man police were searching for in connection to a child enticement investigation turned himself in Wednesday.

On June 10, officers responded to a report of a possible child enticement near 34th and Q Street. Police said a nine-year-old boy said he was riding his bicycle in the alley when he was approached by a man on a scooter, later identified as 47-year-old Edward Fox.

The child told police Fox asked him where his favorite hiding spot was and the child told Fox it was in the bushes. The child reported Fox pulled money out of his wallet and offered him money to go into the hiding spot with him. Police said the child got back on his bicycle and rode away.

Fox was arrested for first-degree enticement of a child.
