Arrest made in Nebraska homicide case weeks after a woman’s body was found
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man has been arrested in a Nebraska homicide that authorities are calling a random crime of opportunity.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 30-year-old William Collins on Friday.
The body of 71-year-old Linda Childers was found at a home in Fort Calhoun on Aug. 14.
Collins was taken into custody in Texas and is awaiting extradition back to Nebraska.
The sheriff’s office said it’s not looking for other suspects and no other information will be released at this time.
