Attackers try to steal Lincoln man’s car but can’t figure out how to start it, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A 58-year-old man says he was attacked by four people when coming home from work in Lincoln.
This happened near South 9th and Washington Streets on Thursday, around 3 a.m.
The Lincoln Police Department tells us four males in dark clothing stole the victim’s phone, keys and wallet.
They then tried to drive off with his car, but couldn’t start it.
The group eventually got away in a dark colored pickup truck that was heading east on Washington Street.
We’re told the victim was punched several times, but he doesn’t have any serious injuries.
All of the items that were taken are worth about $400.
