Authorities find body in chimney of northeast Nebraska apartment building
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Norfolk Police Department is investigating after a body was found in a chimney.
Around 6:15 p.m. Thursday, officers were sent to an apartment building near Third Street and Northwestern Avenue.
Officers and firefighters were able to extricate the body from the chimney, police said.
An autopsy has been scheduled to identify the body.
Police said the initial investigation indicates that the death was an accident, but officers are “reviewing all avenues.”
