LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three people were arrested Sunday after authorities found meth in a vehicle and apartment in Grand Island, police say.

Around 4:20 a.m., the Tri-Cities Drug Enforcement Team (TRIDENT) Task Force was looking for a vehicle suspected of transporting meth.

Authorities located the vehicle and found a “sizable” amount of meth in the trunk, police said.

The occupants, Jolene Armentrout and Robert Burkhardt, were taken into custody.

Investigators then served a search warrant at an apartment near 20th Street and Wheeler Avenue.

Inside, authorities found a “sizable” amount of meth and a rifle that was reported stolen in Hastings, according to police.

Lonnie Mason, who was inside the home, was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including possession of a stolen firearm.

Armentrout and Burkhardt were both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute.
