Authorities ID Lincoln man killed in crash with semi in eastern Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office on Friday identified the Lincoln man killed in a crash near Omaha.

Around 8:40 a.m. Thursday, a Honda Accord – driven by 72-year-old Stephen Kess – and a semitrailer crashed on Interstate 80, just south of Omaha.

Kess was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the semi was not injured.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 402-593-1546.

Eastbound I-80 was shut down for about an hour.
