Man stole at least two vehicles in Lancaster County, authorities say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Authorities are on the lookout for a man who they say was involved in a string of thefts in Lancaster County last week.

On Thursday, a maroon Buick LeSabre was taken from a driveway near 162nd and O streets, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said.

Shortly after, another vehicle – a white Kia Sorento – was stolen from a home near 154th and Van Dorn streets.

The Kia was found less than a mile away from where it was stolen, but the Buick is still missing.

The sheriff’s office said the vehicle was spotted later at a Walmart in Omaha.

A resident of Yutan also sent authorities a video of the thief taking items from their vehicle around 4:30 a.m., shortly before surveillance video shows the man at Walmart.

The sheriff’s office thinks man may be involved in five total thefts, including another vehicle theft.
