Authorities Looking For Man Who Ran From Traffic Stop On Interstate 80 Near Greenwood

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who ran from a traffic stop near Greenwood on Friday.

Just before 12:30 p.m., investigators with the Lancaster County Criminal Interdiction Task Force pulled over a car on Interstate 80 near mile marker 416.

During the traffic stop, investigators found 40 pounds of methamphetamine along with a firearm.

According to the sheriff’s office, both the driver and passenger fled on foot into wooded area.

Authorities secured the area and searched for the men with a helicopter, drones, and K9 units.

The driver was found and taken into custody a short time later, according to the sheriff’s office, but the passenger is still at-large.

Authorities described the passenger as a Hispanic male wearing dark pants and a dark colored jacket with no shoes.
