Authorities report missing woman from Lincoln prison

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities are reporting a missing inmate from the Community Corrections Center in Lincoln.

According to officials, 31-year-old Tomica Anderson did not return Sunday afternoon from a religious furlough.

Anderson started her sentence on Nov. 14, and she was sentenced to five to six years for burglary out of Douglas County.

She was eligible for parole on March 29, and was set to be released in 2027.

Anderson is a 5-foot-2, 140-pound black female with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.

The Community Corrections Center is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS.

Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
