Authorities searching for inmate missing from Community Corrections Center-Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An inmate is missing from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln, officials said Wednesday.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said 25-year-old Ian Eastman left his job and did not return to the facility.

He began his sentence for possessing a controlled substance and theft by unlawful taking last year.  Eastman had a tentative release date of Nov. 10.

Officials said Eastman is 5-foot-6, 150 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.

Inmates at the low-custody facility are allowed to go to work, school or religious services with prior approval.
