Authorities seize 481 pounds of marijuana in traffic stop near Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Local authorities seized 481 pounds of marijuana on Thursday during a traffic stop on Highway 77 and Rosa Parks Way, Lincoln Police say.
About 9:45 a.m., the Criminal Interdiction Task Force stopped a pickup pulling a trailer that had been driving on the shoulder of Interstate-80 west of Lincoln.
Members of the task force saw THC cartridges on the vehicle’s dashboard and began a search. A K9 led deputies to the truck’s trailer.
Inside the trailer, authorities found 481 pounds of marijuana in screw-top containers.
The marijuana was valued at $962,000, Lincoln Police say.
They also found 4,272 THC vape cartridges worth about $171,000, according to Lincoln Police.
Christopher Klipfel, 47, of Grant’s Pass, Oregon, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to deliver.
