Automotive shop at Northeast High School gets upgraded

Northeast High School students have a big opportunity. They’re getting hands on experience working with cars, right inside their school.
Their automotive body shop just got a make–over.
There are now four lifts so kids can bring in their own cars to learn on.
There’s a brand new exhaust system so it’s safer.
There’s also a lot more room for the more than 60 students in the classes to get a taste of being a mechanic.
“It’s not your typical class room they can get right in there and learn on their cars, it’s really exciting to have this opportunity,” Jacob Gardner, automotive shop teacher said.
He said there are many students who hope to be mechanics and this will help them get there.
The welding shop also got some new equipment.
