Bare-knuckle boxing, kickboxing bill advances
A bill that would regulate professional kickboxing and bare-knuckle boxing in Nebraska has advanced.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A bill that would regulate professional kickboxing and bare-knuckle boxing in Nebraska has advanced.
Omaha Sen. Justin Wayne’s LB70 would authorize the state athletic commissioner to regulate the two sports.
Currently, professional mixed martial arts and boxing are regulated in Nebraska.
Wayne said the bill is projected to generate around $8,000 in revenue in fiscal year 2022-23.
The bill advanced to select file on a 39-0 vote.
