Beatrice Police Department investigating string of vehicle break-ins, attempted thefts

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Beatrice Police Department is investigating a series of vehicle break-ins and attempted thefts.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, police said it’s important to lock your vehicles, especially when warming them up in cold weather.
People shouldn’t keep valuables in their cars, according to police.
Investigations have shown that Kia and Hyundai models can be “easily stolen using an unorthodox method,” police said.
Owners are asked to park their vehicles in a garage and possibly invest in a steering wheel locking device.
Anyone with questions can call the Beatrice Police Department at 402-223-4080.
