LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A motorcyclist led troopers on a multicounty chase that ended in Omaha on Friday, the Nebraska State Patrol says.

Around 1 a.m., a motorcycle – driven by 32-year-old Robert Long – was seen driving recklessly on Interstate 80 near Lincoln.

A trooper later found the motorcycle, which was going about 95 mph, heading east near Greenwood.

The trooper tried to get Long to pull over, but he refused and accelerated, the patrol said.

The chase continued into Omaha, and a helicopter helped keep track of Long.

Eventually, Long came to a stop at 105th and Q streets, and authorities took him into custody, according to the patrol.

He was arrested on suspicion of flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, third-offense driving under the influence, having no motorcycle license and traffic violations.

Long, who is from Bellevue, was taken to the Cass County Jail.
