Ben Sasse joins Deb Fischer, will vote ‘yes’ for Kavanaugh confirmation

Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse issued a statement saying he will cast his vote in favor of Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court. 

Sasse said he made his decision based on the evidence provided by the FBI, as well as Kavanaugh’s qualifications. 

Sasse said  that he spent more than 150 hours doing his “homework” and completed reading the FBI’s seventh background investigation on Kavanaugh Friday morning. 

“This broken and politicized process has further undermined public trust,” Sasse went on to say in his statement. “Washington embarrassed itself for the last month, but it is clear that most Americans are yearning for more than tribal blood feuds.”
