Bicyclist attacked, robbed by two men in northeast Lincoln neighborhood, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are searching for two men who broke a bicyclist’s nose in an assault Thursday afternoon in northeast Lincoln.

Around 4:30 p.m., a 28-year-old bicyclist was near 57th and Judson streets when a pickup truck started following him.

Police said the truck pulled up behind the bicyclist but didn’t hit him.

The bicyclist fell off his bike when he tried to get out of the way.

Two men got out of the truck and attacked the bicyclist, who was taken to a hospital with abrasions and a broken nose.

Police said the two men took off with the victim’s bike and phone.
