Bicyclist dead after northeast Lincoln crash

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A bicyclist is dead after a crash with a vehicle in northeast Lincoln on Thursday.

The crash happened around 4 p.m. at the intersection of 84th Street and Market Drive.

Police said the bicyclist, a Lincoln man, was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle, also a Lincoln man, stayed on scene during the investigation, police said.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Officials said 84th Street is closed between Fremont and Adams streets.
