Biden administration orders federal agencies to beef up cybersecurity
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan is saying federal agencies need to do more to strengthen their cybersecurity.
Sullivan says multiple federal departments and agencies “failed to fully comply” with critical security practices issued in an executive order.
Officials gave the order in May 2021, requiring agencies to implement a series of security practices that make it harder for hackers to break in.
The order came after the Biden Administration faced multiple damaging hacks in the first months of being in office.
