Biden approves Nebraska disaster declaration

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – President Joseph Biden ordered federal assistance to Nebraska supplementing state, tribal, and local recovery efforts following the Dec. wind storm.
Nebraska experienced widespread disasters from severe storms, high winds, and tornadoes on Dec. 15.

Federal funding is available to state, tribal, and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe storm.
Counties receiving federal aid are: Adams, Buffalo, Burt, Cass, Cuming, Fillmore, Gage, Hamilton, Harlan, Jefferson, Johnson, Kearney, Nemaha, Nuckolls, Otoe, Pawnee, Platte, Polk, Richardson, Saline, Sarpy, Saunders, Thayer, Washington, and Webster.
