Big Red Blitz sends Husker head coaches across eastern Nebraska

The Big Red Blitz first started in Norfolk, worked it’s way south to Fremont and ended in Ashland at the SAC Museum.
Thousands of people gathered into a ballroom, arena and museum for a Q&A with Bill Moos, Rhonda Revelle, Mark Manning, Amy Williams, Scott Frost and the newest to the bunch, Fred Hoiberg.
“I don’t get to spend time with 5 or 6 of my head coaches all at once, but when you’re confined to a bus, and you get time to just catch up on each others families, and what they’re doing this summer and all those things. It’s really good and healthy for the program in general,” Bill Moos, Husker athletic director, said.
Besides learning about the teams’ off season practices and more about the coaches, all the money raised went to flood victims in Norfolk, Fremont and Ashland.
“The family feeling of Nebraskans and really caring for each other, and the appreciation that we would load up and come to those communities really meant a lot to them, you could tell, and just I want to reinforce that we truly are one state, one heartbeat and we do care about them,” Moos said.
Every room the coaches entered was packed with Husker fans eager to see their leaders.
