Big temperature swing from this weekend to early next week
A weak front moving through this weekend means some early clouds and a shift in the winds for a breeze to be out of the north.
Temperatures will warm to a similar final destination compared to Thursday’s highs, if not just a little bit cooler in the middle and upper 70s.
Plentiful sunshine during the day will turn to mostly clear, then partly cloudy skies tonight.
Our Game of the Week features the Falls City Tigers and the Syracuse Rockets with an earlier kickoff at 6 p.m. Friday evening. Conditions will be quite comfortable for week 7 of the high school football season.
More clouds build in tonight and especially Saturday morning, leaving us mostly cloudy for the beginning of the weekend.
A few sprinkles (spot shower at most) the first part of Saturday and maybe even into the early afternoon cannot be ruled out in southeast Nebraska.
Speaking of rain, a few showers will be possible during the Huskers football game in College Park, Maryland, as they face the Terrapins.
The longer fans linger after the game, the higher the probability of more rain moving in. Rain chances do increase that night, but especially during the day on Sunday as a system glides along the coast.
Back here at home, temperatures will be warmest on Sunday with quite a bit of wind.
Gusts up to 30 and 40 mph are possible in eastern and western Nebraska.
A wide range in temperatures is represented over the next 10 October days in Lincoln: low and high temperatures will be anywhere from the 40s to the 80s!
