Big temperature swing on the way tonight 12/17/2021
It’s another chilly start out there this morning as temperatures have fallen into the 20s. Wind speeds are quiet for most, but a few of you have just enough wind to make it feel like the teens outside. Highs will warm into the low to mid-40s today with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. This is a few degrees cooler compared to yesterday, but really not that different or bad for a December day. A strong cold front will push through the area overnight and instead of bringing precipitation, we’ll see temperatures drop. Temperatures will plunge into the teen tonight, but increasing winds will make it feel like the single digits or even below zero for some! We won’t recover by the afternoon either, because highs will only warm into the upper 20s and low 30s for highs. The wind switches back out of the southwest on Sunday resulting in breezy conditions and warmer temperatures. Highs will warm back into the upper 40s with mostly sunny skies. Next week also looks warm with a whole line of the 40s on the way.
